| Scientist education is an important element in the research activities of AU/PBS. On this page you can find details on the Ph.D. education programme of the department and about your options for being recruited as a Ph.D. student at the department. As a Ph.D. student you will be linked to ongoing research and be part of the research collaboration that the department has with the agricultural industry as well as national and international research institutions. The goal of PBS' research is to contribute to effective and environmentally acceptable prevention and control of weeds and plant diseases together with pests in plant and livestock production and in the food industry. The activities of the department also include research on topics such as bees and bee diseases, rats in urban environments, bed bugs, weed control on pavements and roads, and plant protection in outdoor sports facilities. The PBS department has approx. 120 employees, half of which have a scientific education whereas the rest of the personnel are laboratory technicians, agricultural technicians, agricultural assistants, animal keepers, administration etc. The department is located in Sorgenfri near Kgs.
