Profile

Alex Percy-Smith is responsible for initiation and co-ordination of international activities and providing quality assurance as well as project management for the Faculty. He is an agronomist and has a background in crop protection research, agricultural research management and in project and resource management.

His experience covers all aspects of the project cycle: project identification and formulation, implementation and review as well as short and long-term technical assistance. He has considerable project management experience from projects in Africa and Eastern Europe.

Alex Percy-Smith has extensive project experience from a range of developing countries especially Uganda, Mozambique and Zambia and has a thorough understanding of bilateral development assistance with a focus on the countries with which Danida co-operates. In addition, he has considerable experience from work in the Baltic States, Poland, the Czech Republic and other new EU-accession countries.

He has also worked with international strategies at both faculty and university level and been involved in a number of networks targeting developing countries and also China.
