Profile

Research Support Functions is in charge of general field management and maintenance of machinery. We also provide services to the research units related to their field trials, semi-field installations, greenhouses and climatic chambers. Our work is carried out under consideration of economy, as little environmental strain as possible and the best possible working environment. The unit also has as its objective to supply high-quality service that contributes to optimum research and research profiling.

Research Support Functions also handles the tasks connected with the reception desk at DJF, Flakkebjerg; these include welcoming guests and new employees, booking official cars, meeting rooms and guest meals, providing accommodation for guests and supervising the DJF, Flakkebjerg guest house.

Research Support Functions consists of 3 units:

Field unit

Objectives:

· To manage the field areas at DJF, Flakkebjerg in an optimum manner with regard to the need to provide suitable trial areas for trials and research

· To carry out all tasks related to research and trials in an optimum manner in close cooperation with research scientists and technicians

· To carry out work under consideration of economy, the least possible environmental strain and the best possible working environment

Workshop

Objectives:

· To assist research scientists and technicians in developing and converting machinery for experiments

· That the mechanical equipment is well maintained and contributes to a good working environment

· To carry out work under consideration of economy, the least possible environmental strain and the best possible working environment

Reception desk

Objectives:

· That all communication with DJF, Flakkebjerg – either in person or by telephone – is handled and serviced in the best possible manner

· That guests and new employees are well received and are given a thorough introduction to our facilities

· That the booking of official cars, meeting rooms, guest meals and accommodation is mutually satisfactory
