EUR-Organic

Four leading European universities in the field of Agriculture and Life Sciences have developed the M.Sc. Programme "Organic Agriculture and Food Systems" (EUR-Organic).

The programme offers an education related to alle aspects of the organic sector (organic crop production, organic animal husbandry, organic farming in the tropics, organic food chains & networks, influence of European policy on the development of the organic sector, consumer demands, organic market development in different European countries etc.) plus the possibility to specialise in the distinct profiles offered by the partner universities.

Students completing the Master in Organic Agriculture and Food Systems at two of the partner universities will be awarded a full Master Degree from both universities. Students can also choose the single degree track option and complete the whole Master programme at one university.

Programme Overview

EUR-Organic is joint Master Programme of four partner universities:

The full Master Programme consists of four semesters and the semester packages at the partner universities are structured accordingly:

1st Semester (Home University): Basic Semester Package

2nd Semester (Home University): Basic Semester Package

3rd Semester (Host University): Specialisation

4th Semester (Host University): Thesis

UHOH:

  • Organic Crop Production
  • Socioeconomics and Organic Farming
  • Organic Farming in the Tropics and Subtropics

BOKU:

  • Organic Agricultural Systems / Social Science and Organic Farming
  • Organic Soil Fertility and Crop Production / Horticulture Systems (drought regions)
  • Organic Agriculture  in Subtropical and Tropical Environments
  • Organic Animal Husbandry

WULS-SGGW:

  • Organic Food Quality and Marketing

AU:

  • Organic Livestock Farming
  • Organic Production of Fruit and Vegetables in a Temperate Climate

Admission and Application

Students from alle countries of the world can apply for the EUR-Organic programme.

Deadline for application:

  • 1st of March

Applicants require a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or an equivalent degree in Agriculture, Food Sciences, Economics or a related discipline.

Admission criteria also comprise English language skills.
